The banquet staff took great care of our guests throughout the event, and the food was a real highlight. Mr. Roshane, the Head Chef, promised from our first conversation that it would be one of the best parts of our wedding, and he delivered. The dishes were flavorful and beautifully presented, and many guests told us it was among the best wedding food they’d had. Their compliments made the day even more special. Our wedding at Grandeeza Hotel on 16th May 2026 was a dream come true. From planning through the day itself, the team was professional, caring, and attentive to every detail, which let us enjoy everything without worry. Former manager Rock guided and supported us during planning, then current manager Sonali took over smoothly and coordinated the wedding day perfectly. Their dedication and genuine care helped make it a success. Thanks to everyone at Grandeeza Hotel for the warmth and hospitality, and for memories we’ll cherish for a lifetime. The wedding day was memorable, and our guests complimented the food, service, and overall event management. Grandezza Hotel’s team handled everything professionally and hospitably from our arrival through the end of the celebration, and the arrangements were elegant, thoughtfully detailed, and luxurious. The reception team gave us a lovely welcome when we arrived. They were efficient, friendly, and spoke good English. Our room overlooked the lagoon, was large, well equipped, and had a very comfortable king bed. It looked recently renovated. Great for exploring the Colombo area for a few days, or, as in our case, staying overnight before a flight. The hotel arranges airport transfers. Strongly recommended.

The food was tasty, with a good variety to suit different tastes, and the venue was convenient, well maintained, and had a nice setting for Christmas lunch. I went with family and friends, and there were some clear highlights, but service problems affected the experience. The front staff seemed unprepared for the crowd, and there was confusion and poor coordination. Refilling food was the biggest frustration. It was very slow and badly managed, and several popular dishes ran out without being replenished. That was disappointing for a Christmas buffet, especially given the price and expectations for a festive meal. Better planning, staff readiness, and faster refills during busy periods could make the experience much better. The food and location are a good foundation, and I hope management takes this feedback constructively.
