Hello Airport Hotel Katunayake

A really cool motel near Colombo airport. The manager is friendly and helpful. I'd recommend it for a short transit stay.

We arrived around 2 AM, and check-in went smoothly. The staff were friendly, attentive and flexible throughout. When we decided at the last minute to extend, they let us check out late for a reasonable fee. We tried to add another night on day two because of problems with our upcoming flight, but the hotel was full. The manager contacted a friend to find us somewhere else, and the owner drove us there himself. That was a really warm gesture and felt like Sri Lankan hospitality. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The location is also convenient, close to the airport and nearby beaches. We had an excellent stay and would recommend it for comfort, convenience and genuine hospitality.

Comfy beds, a tasty breakfast and a very clean place, with the airport close by. The owner and staff were really friendly. I'd highly recommend it for a good night's sleep after you arrive and before you get your trip started 😊

For an early flight or layover, this works well, just 10 minutes from the airport. The staff were efficient, kind and helpful. Our room, number 777, was reasonably clean and quiet, with cool AC, a hot shower with good pressure, soft towels and a comfortable bed. The only issue was a loose toilet seat that needed tightening. Restaurants and wine stores are nearby.
