Guests can eat tasty Sri Lankan and Western food at the restaurant, or have meals brought to their rooms. The tour desk can help arrange sightseeing and travel, and newspapers are available. Barbecue facilities can be provided on request. Lagoon Waves is by Negombo Lagoon, around a 15-minute drive from Bandaranaike International Airport, and has a 24-hour front desk and free on-site parking. Its garden-view rooms have tiled floors, a desk, wardrobe, air conditioning, and a private bathroom with a shower. Seeduwa Railway Station is about a 10-minute drive away. Colombo City is roughly 45 minutes by car, and Negombo City is within 10 km.

We arrived to find the hotel closed. Locals said it was empty and had shut down, even though we had received emails reminding us about our booking. We had to pay another driver to take us to a different hotel. OYO hotels are a scam.

Terrible place, and expensive too. There was no Wi-Fi, bed sheet, bath towel, soap, or cup. The manager was nonchalant. I was refused a refund when I wanted to leave.

For a night, it's an acceptable basic option if this happens to be where you're staying. Beyond that, whether it suits you depends on your own preferences. My room was basic but enough for one traveller.
