Airport Faith Hotel

We came back for one more night before our flight after travelling around Sri Lanka, and it worked out perfectly. The hotel is about a 10-minute drive from the airport, handy for an early or late flight. The staff were always available and very helpful, and the rooms and bathrooms are modern, clean, and spacious. We also loved the peaceful courtyard. We had a wonderful family stay at Airport Faith Hotel and highly recommend it. It feels like a hidden gem.

I arrived at midnight as a woman travelling alone, with just one night booked before moving on. Flooding in Sri Lanka had left the hotel without power, and the property was completely dark. I told the staff I had only nine hours before continuing my journey and needed to stay somewhere else. They said they understood and that I could get a refund. Later, my travel agent told me the hotel had refused, saying the room was “ready.” With no electricity or lighting, I didn’t consider it fit to stay in. After leaving, I spent around three hours driving around Colombo looking for somewhere else, but every hotel was full. I then drove another 3.5 hours south before finding a room. I landed at 10:00 pm and didn’t get to a hotel until 6:30 am. The hotel wasn’t responsible for the flooding, but the room wasn’t fit for purpose, and nobody offered another solution or help. Based on this experience, I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The staff were lovely and arranged an early morning ride to the airport, which is only about a 10-minute drive away. I stayed one night before flying home. It was very clean, and I only wish I’d had time to stay a couple more nights.
