Ceylon Adventures

We came here after a nightmare at another guest house and had to leave, so we booked this place quickly. They welcomed us warmly, and we ended up really enjoying the stay. We came mainly for white water rafting and canyoning. Since it was my first time, they explained everything and kept reassuring me. Partway through canyoning, the pain in my nose got too much and I stopped. The guides respected that, checked I was okay, and gently asked later if I wanted to continue so I wouldn’t miss out. Rafting was my favourite thing ever. The guide gave clear instructions and knew a lot about local wildlife and culture. Breakfast was included; we also had traditional curry for dinner and barbecue one night. Activities cost 20$ each and dinner was 8$ each. There’s a small town 1km away for food and snacks, and the kitchen was happy to make my maggi one day.

The peaceful setting by the Kelani River is surrounded by lush greenery, with beautiful mountain views on the long but scenic drive past streams and trails. There’s a lobby and camping area, plus a small ground for team activities. The place is often used for leadership programs and outbound sessions. Rooms were quite good, and the washrooms were clean and well kept. Food was nice, with buffet arrangements for large groups and à la carte orders for individuals. Staff were friendly and supportive. Activities include rafting, canoeing, cycling, abseiling, waterfall confidence jumps and more. Jackets and helmets are supplied, but the helmet I was given was broken and patched together, which isn’t acceptable. Check your safety equipment and ask for proper gear before using it. My rating is 3/5.

Ceylon Adventure Sports Sri Lanka was so sick. The rooms were clean and comfy, with a good shower, and the food was tasty and reasonably priced. Rafting and canyoning were great fun, and the friendly staff made sure everything felt safe and looked after us throughout. It can be a little hard to find, though I made a video of the walk to help people heading there. Would definitely recommend, 10/10 spot.

A lovely place for a couple of days, with beautiful, almost heavenly views. The host was very kind, the rooms were nice, and the food was delicious. There are lots of activities to try as well. I’d highly recommend it.
