Dorian Guest House and Restaurant

The location is beautiful, right beside one of the nicest beaches in the area, and close to some great surf spots. My room was clean throughout my stay. I spent six days at Surfing Life and couldn’t have been happier. Even with a late check-in, I got a warm welcome and felt at home straight away. Everyone working there was friendly and helpful, and shared useful tips for traveling around Sri Lanka. Special thanks to Ravi for making me feel welcome from the minute I arrived. I’d recommend it to travelers looking for a comfortable, welcoming place near the surf.

We came across this charming place by chance, and now we can’t wait to return. It’s quiet, welcoming and easygoing, with everything you need within a five-minute walk. Eric, Ravi (my man), Guna and the rest of the crew really make you feel at home. Thanks so much.

We’ve been coming to Surfing life for breakfasts and dinner for years. We’re veggie, and the tomato curry is my usual order. They’ve also made food for our young son over the years, so don’t hesitate to ask for simple things like a plain omelette or plain pasta. They’re very welcoming to families. Friends of ours have loved the chicken snitzel or Gordon blu, as well as the mahi mahi. Sometimes there’s a wait when it’s busy, but the food is freshly made to order. Their newer curry buffets are really tasty, too. Eric and his family were among the first places to stay and eat in the area, and there’s a reason they’ve been around for over 15 years. It feels like a safe place to eat.
