It's a peaceful setting and a nice place to visit, but the rooms need more attention when it comes to cleaning. I think the hotel can improve this and become one of the best in Sri Lanka someday. Good luck.

The setting is lovely, and this could be a good place for day parties, but the management was the worst we've seen. It felt like they were focused only on bookings and collecting money. The cook and supporter were honest, and the food was average. The pool and washrooms were poorly maintained, with broken taps and showers and rubbish and tissues scattered around the pool. It wasn't impressive, though the place could improve.

Parking was easy, there was washroom access, and the hotel is only a few metres from the waterfall and close to the Bopath Ella entrance. But the food was awful and had no real taste, especially for what it costs. Our chicken fried rice had only a few small bits of chicken, and the taste was unacceptable. The chicken deval had no gravy at all and was very difficult to eat. The hotel also seemed poorly maintained, and I worry they could lose business soon. Sri Lankan food can be much more delicious, so visitors from abroad shouldn't judge it by meals from places like this. Local visitors are often underestimated by Sri Lankan hotel owners, and that attitude should change. The prices are quite high, so the food should be good and the property kept in good condition. Focusing only on money won't help in the long run. I'm writing this so people can avoid trouble and frustration later.

The chalets fit naturally into the setting by the falls, which are just a few steps away. We had a lovely stay, and Manager Shane and his team were warm and attentive to our comfort. Chef Kapila was a genius with the balanced, aromatic Sri Lankan dishes.

Bopath Fall Rock Chalets sits among tropical greenery, about a five-minute walk from Bopath Waterfall. It has a nature-facing outdoor pool and free Wi-Fi across the property. Kuruwita town is a ten-minute drive away, Ratnapura about twenty minutes, and Colombo and Bandaranaike International Airport around two hours. The air-conditioned rooms have private terraces, a seating area, desk, clothes rack and satellite TV, along with an ensuite shower bathroom. There is an on-site restaurant serving Sri Lankan and Western food, and parking is free. The staff can help arrange tours and airport transfers. Laundry can be requested through the 24-hour front desk.
