We had a comfy bed, a large shower and a large room, plus a patio with some German:) library. The food was incredible, everything we ordered tasted delicious, and the breakfast was fabulous, with a local option too. The staff were friendly, helpful and smiley, always glad to help. This is a dream of a place, a hidden piece of paradise, perfect if you want to get away from city noise. The modest accommodation has everything you need and is just a few steps from the beach and their restaurant. You can take a kayak for free and paddle quietly around the lagoon, with nobody else around. We couldn’t find any downsides. Even the walk across the wooden bridge wasn’t one. 😃

We felt very comfortable and grounded here, surrounded by nature and enjoying the calm, peaceful atmosphere. It was a wonderful place to slow down and recharge, and we truly enjoyed our stay. We’d happily come back. The setting is stunning: a very long, quiet sandy beach lined with palm trees, where it feels like you’re in the middle of nowhere in the best way. The staff were exceptionally kind, warm and attentive. Food was delicious, drinks were great, and everything felt easy and relaxed. Our stay at Mango Beach Chalets was a beautiful little piece of paradise.

The chalets are right by the beach, and it was incredibly peaceful. There’s a natural seawater pool in the sea in front of them, which felt safe among the waves. The food and drinks were amazing. Stunning place, couldn’t recommend it more. 10/10

We went kayaking on the lagoon and wandered up to the Turtle. The sunsets were amazing, and the chalets are right on the beach. The food was great, and the staff were really attentive and friendly. We stayed four nights at the start of our holiday and wished we’d done the trip in reverse so we could have ended here. It was the most tranquil, beautiful and romantic part. This place is amazing, and we’ll definitely be back.

The beach restaurant bar is amazing, and Gossa cooks the BEST curries. We had Sri Lanka curry for breakfast and curries for dinner, all delicious. The aubergine was the best I’ve ever had, and I like curries! Mangrove Beach Chalets was a great spot for the five days we spent there at the start of our two weeks around SriLanka. The location is incredible, with beautiful empty beaches where ours really were the only footprints. There’s a small rocky reef in front, making this one of the few spots along the coast where you can safely swim. It’s definitely a place for families, though children might struggle with the strong currents, while it’s a great spot for adults. If you’re a couple wanting romantic time, beautiful empty beaches, good drinks and food, and caring staff, you’ll love it. I can’t recommend it highly enough.
