Surf Lanka Hotel

You can do yoga on the hotel roof, which was amazing, and the beach isn't crowded. The rooms are clean and friendly, the breakfast is great, and the staff are very nice and frank. An amazing place in the south of Sri Lanka, with an awesome price for value.

The staff were super helpful and friendly, the food was good, and breakfast was great. The French fries were absolutely divine. I really enjoyed how simple and relaxed the hotel felt, and it's just a 2 minute walk from the beach. My big room had a stunning view from an awesome balcony, and the aircon worked. It did feel a little expensive for the facilities, though. There was only 1 bin and 1 tiny soap, no cupboards or fridge, and no cushions on the uncomfortable chairs. None of that was a big deal, but the small things can get niggly.

We came as a group of 11 and had the best time at Surf Lanka. The rooms were good and had AC, the place felt safe, and it was right on the beach. Perfect views, location and setup, with excellent service. Randika was our surf guide. He was professional and helped the kids a lot. They also arranged a driver and bus for us at a great price. Highly recommended, and thank you Surf Lanka!

The family suite on the 2nd floor had a very good view, and the balcony made the stay nicer. Food quality is among the best around, and surfing is easy from here. The rooms are a great size, though their floors could be better maintained. There's no swimming pool, but one suite room has a bath tub.
