Coastal Villa Mirissa

The owner and staff looked after us from booking and check-in through check-out, and even after we’d left. Big thanks to Cham and his staff. During the Sri Lankan festive season, we had spacious rooms that were kept very clean and bright. Mirissa Coastal Villa was convenient for our Dolphin and Blue Whales watching tour, and within walking distance of beaches, restaurants, and other shops. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have no doubt we’ll return. See you on our next holiday in Sri Lanka.

My wife and I found the Coastal Villa Mirissa quiet, comfortable, very nice, and extremely clean. The staff were really friendly and helpful whenever we needed anything. It’s a 10-minute walk from the beach, and we felt safe walking back to the villa at any time. If you need a tuk-tuk, just ask the manager, who’s very helpful.

I wouldn’t recommend Coastal Villa Mirissa for families. The access path is narrow, dark, and a bit shady at night, and the property is far from the main road. There were too many mosquitoes, flies around during meals, and a spider inside the mosquito net. It was unpleasant to eat there, and there wasn’t a proper dining area. The AC didn’t cool properly, and the ceiling fan looked unsafe, like it might fall while running. The one positive was Mr. Tushar, who genuinely tried to handle the problems on his own. The property seemed understaffed, and despite his efforts, the overall experience was poor. In response to your reply: dismissing my experience shows an unwillingness to accept constructive feedback and makes me question the credibility of the positive reviews posted so far. I attached an image of the spider in the mosquito net as factual evidence. Instead of acknowledging the issue or apologizing, you labelled my review baseless. That response was unprofessional and disappointing. If this is how genuine guest concerns are handled, so be it.

Last Sunday we had a really pleasant stay at costal villa. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming, with everything well organized. It’s a quiet, relaxing spot that’s still close to the beach and main attractions. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the staff were professional, friendly, and helpful. We enjoyed our visit and would definitely recommend it to anyone coming to Mirissa.
