This is the owner's family home, where they lived before the tsunami. It's been completely restored and now has four double bedrooms, two with air conditioning, all with private bathrooms. The price is very reasonable, $12 or $25 with air conditioning. Breakfast isn't included, but guests can use the kitchen and washing machine. The location is marvelous, just 25 meters from Mirissa's beautiful beach, with a nice private garden. The owner, Susil, is very kind and friendly. You can contact him directly at +94 714214171, including through WhatsApp. He's also willing to rent the entire house for several months at an agreeable rate to anyone wanting to run a small business there. It's a perfect location for an intermediate surf camp, since the Mirissa right is a consistent, fun wave. The nearby restaurant has a party every Wednesday night.

The family running the guest house is really kind, so I feel a bit bad leaving a negative review. The toilet smelled quite bad and was full of mosquitoes. They were burning things right next to the house while we were there, and smoke filled the whole room. It's very close to the beach, but also next to a beach coffee that played loud music until early morning during our stay.

Excellent spot, right by the beach and close to several shops and restaurants. It's an old-style home, and there were too many mosquitoes. The family was friendly, nice, safe, and respectable. Good value.

The family was very kind, but kindness on its own wasn't enough. Mosquitoes filled the bathroom, and I could hardly take a shower. A nearby beach disco played loudly, so I couldn't really sleep until late. The house was full of smoke because the owners were building extra rooms and had burned something. My room smelled of smoke too. Luckily, all my clothes were in the trolley.

The bathroom was dirty, with ants and mosquitoes, and the blanket was so tiny it felt like a towel. There was no breakfast either. The price on Booking was different, then they added over 1000 for “tax.” Ridiculous. I hate feeling scammed.
