The reception women made us feel at home from the minute we arrived. They were so welcoming, friendly, and kind. The whole team was ready to help with a smile, including arranging tours and activities and helping us with all sorts of things. The food and drinks were tasty and satisfying, too. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well looked after, and we felt safe throughout. The location made it easy to walk to places nearby. We felt at home the whole stay, everything was taken care of, and we'd definitely come back. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The owners really set this place apart. They're warm people and do all they can to make your stay a good one. We also loved the cook's breakfasts, with something different from the Sri Lankan menu each day. There's a large shared space with a pool, outdoor bar, places to sit, and a yoga spot. The rooms vary in size, but they're all comfortable. And the hot water is properly hot :)

We loved our patio room, which opened straight onto the garden and pool. The outdoor pool was wonderful, and breakfast came with plenty of choices. The staff were friendly and attentive, too. We stayed at Handagenara Hotel in early November and enjoyed how peaceful the grounds were. The lobby has lots of character, and we'd happily stay here again.

The room was comfortable, and we were glad to have warm water for bathing. The pool, though, was dirty. When we paid, they charged us too much and included extra items, possibly from another guest's room. Apart from that, the hotel was okay.

Our room was quite noisy, but the staff dealt with our complaint really well. They were all helpful, and I appreciate that. We also enjoyed the nice pool and delicious breakfast. It was a good stay.
