We ended up here unexpectedly after another hotel wouldn’t honor our reservation. The guy gave us a room for three nights right away, free of charge. It was quiet and clean, with a comfortable bed and pillows, and hot water in the shower. There’s a table and a couple of chairs on the balcony outside each room. Residents can use the kitchen and refrigerator on the first floor. The ocean is about a 10-minute walk away. Thanks for making us comfortable!

We could walk to Mirissa Beach in about 10 minutes, and there were lots of places to eat nearby, plus stalls selling local fruit. We stayed four nights. Our ground-floor room was spacious, but very humid even with the fan running most of the time. The windowless bathroom was humid too and smelled quite bad. There was a comfortable outdoor area with a nice table, and the shared kitchen came in handy for making breakfast. The guy hosting us kept the garden tidy and was available on WhatsApp if we needed anything.

We came for a week and ended up staying a month. The family rooms are roomy, with two big beds, and the shared kitchen has everything needed for cooking. The owner was lovely and quick to handle our requests, whether it was cleaning or renting a scooter. It’s a relaxed 10-15 minute walk to the ocean, with grocery and fruit shops nearby. Food City is within walking distance too. We definitely recommend it.

The owner kept giving us this goofy little wink and smiling the whole time, even though he didn’t understand what we wanted. 10/10. Best place in Sri Lanka, the only reason to come here. Lionka, you’ll always be in our hearts!

It was an okay place for our one-night family stay with three children. We weren’t given soap or toilet paper, and for five people there were only two towels, two blankets, and four pillows. Sleeping was uncomfortable.
