The road is quiet, with easy access to the beach and the main road's cafes, bars, and restaurants. Our room was clean when we arrived, and the staff were friendly. They helped arrange snorkeling and let us check out later. But there were mosquitoes all over my room, even under the bed pillows. I spent an entire evening killing more than 50. We also had a power cut overnight that affected just our building. It took three hours to fix, and when I asked for updates on WhatsApp, staff gave no explanation. Without A/C, it was too hot to sleep until 2 a.m. When I raised these problems with the manager, she suggested I was lying about the mosquitoes and said I must have left the door open, which I hadn't. At checkout I asked for compensation for that one night, but we were charged the full price. They also insisted on full cash payment, $760, even though my bank wouldn't let me withdraw that much. We had to pay half by card and were charged a 3% fee. They said they'd told us about the fee at check-in, but they hadn't. It's a nice place with kind staff, though I found better value elsewhere in Mirissa.

My partner enjoyed the pool, but I didn't. The area was empty, which made sense once I got bitten to bits by mosquitoes at 14:00. I paid 1000 each to use it, then leaned back on a wooden lounger and fell backwards, like something out of Gerry Anderson's Thunderbirds. I scraped my back on the curb stones. It was embarrassing and uncomfortable, and I still had to pay. We left. Easy dollar for them, but not much relaxing for me. The pool is clean because nobody seems to use it. 0/10 from me.

My single room was plain but clean, and the A/C worked well. The pool was a nice extra, and the family who runs the place serves a great homemade breakfast each morning. The manager was quick to respond whenever I needed something. I stayed five nights during high season and got a very reasonable rate without even bargaining. The location was just as good: a quiet street, about five minutes on foot from the beach and three from the main road. It kept me away from the noise while still close to everything. I'd definitely come back.

The owners made the stay especially lovely. They were welcoming, kind, and seemed to really care about us. The hotel was cozy, very clean, and clearly looked after. Its location is peaceful but still convenient, with what you need nearby.

The swimming pool was a highlight, especially the small one for kids. We also rented a scooter from the hotel. Our triple room was clean, and the staff were really nice. We stayed several days, and the hotel is near both the beach and the main road while still feeling calm.
