Sea Zone Resort

The room was dirty, and there were bed bugs. Whenever we ran the AC and water heater together, the electricity went off. The place also looked different from the photos.

The owner was really helpful, and the location is hard to beat. It’s just a short walk to the beach. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and very good value for the money.

We left without paying, since we hadn’t paid yet, but the experience was awful. The dark room they moved us to had stained bedsheets, small windows, two big beds, and no balcony. We’d booked a balcony room a couple of days ahead and were first shown a nice one. Then the man who checked us in said there’d been a mistake and took us to a villa instead. He said two other women had called the manager and wanted our room, so they’d been given it. We were told we could stay in the worse room for the same price and maybe move into a balcony room the next day or the day after. We were staying five days, while the women were supposedly staying only one night. We decided to leave. The man apologized and promised to call when a room opened up, but no call came and our reservation was cancelled. Later, as we walked past, we saw the women’s things still on the balcony. It seemed to us they were treated better and got the room we’d already been in because my boyfriend is Algerian. The staff member did apologize, but we’d already lost our room. Luckily, we found a much better hotel down the street with better customer service.

The staff at Sea Zone Resort were welcoming and quick to help, whether with local attraction suggestions or arranging transport. Our room was spacious, clean, and well kept, with a comfortable bed and the essentials. The resort is only a few steps from the beach, but far enough from it to feel calm and restful. I had a great stay in Mirissa and would gladly come back. It’s a cozy, affordable option in a great spot.
