Sira's Chalets Guest House

Sira's Chalet is right by the beach, so we could walk straight onto the sand and enjoy ourselves. Our room was well kept, and the breakfast tables are just outside the rooms. The owner was lovely to talk with, and when he heard we had a child, he came by in the evening to tell us turtles were being released into the ocean nearby. Sampath, one of the attendants, was kind and looked after things personally. It felt like home, and we'd definitely return.

The location is the real draw here: the back gate opens straight onto Mirissa beach. Our room was spacious and had basics like a hair dryer and safe. Breakfast is included, though the menu gets repetitive. There’s no parking. A simple place to stay if you want to be right on the beach.

The owner was helpful and could arrange travel needs, and he served us a very nice breakfast in the outdoor seating area by the chalets. The bathroom was clean and practical, and the air-conditioning worked well. Our room was a good size but dated, with a kettle, fridge and safe, though no TV. There's an exit straight onto the beach. The patio area outside was being improved while we were there.

We had to leave very early for the airport, and the owner got up to say goodbye and made us something to take along. The staff were lovely and helpful too. Our clean room had everything we needed, and they supplied fresh towels each day for the beach. The place is literally on the beach. We had a great stay, 10/10, would recommend.
