The hosting family were so helpful and kind, and the service was lovely. The location is beautiful too. They rent bikes and surfboards, and their laundry service was really good. My favourite place on the coast.

Kumari was wonderful with guests, and the hosts were friendly and helpful. She cooks tasty food. The rooms are okay for the price, and you can negotiate on almost everything.

The family were so kind and accommodating, and having food, boards to hire and scooters available made the stay even better. We stayed for a week with my parents and it became one of our favourite places. It’s quiet, even with beach clubs nearby, and the location is hard to beat: the beach and a great surf break are right across the road. The rooms were clean, with nice balconies. The upstairs rooms are newer and more modern if that fits your budget. Highly recommend staying here.

The location may be good, but we left the same day because of the room. There were ants everywhere, far more than the usual amount in Sri Lanka, including colonies feeding on a decaying larger insect. The bathroom looked very poor too. At check-in, a local kid was handling things, and the conversation was confusing. We couldn’t tell if they were trying to move us to a pricier room or didn’t understand how booking worked, perhaps because of an English-language problem. After 20-30 minutes we ended up in a different room from the one we booked and still had no clear idea what it cost. The reviews made it feel like we’d arrived at a different hotel.

The balcony has a nice view, and the rooms are well maintained. It’s close to both coral beach and secret beach. The hotel also offers breakfast and lunch for an extra charge; we tried the lunch and it was delicious. I’d definitely recommend staying here.
