The pool was a lovely way to cool down after a hot day, and the garden and terrace were relaxing too. AJ Villa sits quietly by the river, a short drive from the beaches and city center, so it feels removed from the bustle but still well located. The host was attentive, gave helpful excursion tips, and helped arrange transport and activities. We were welcomed warmly from the start and felt at home. The villa is modern and stylish, with spacious, very comfortable rooms and thoughtful details. Everything felt new and was exceptionally clean and well cared for. Breakfast was fresh, varied, and delicious, with choices for different tastes. My stay was relaxing and enjoyable, and I’d recommend AJ Villa in Negombo for its comfort and hospitality.

We went to AJ Villa in Negombo as a group of friends, and it made for a really relaxing weekend. The delicious food was a highlight for us, with every meal prepared carefully and enjoyable. There are five spacious rooms, and the villa is beautifully designed, so it worked well for our group. The caretaker was super helpful and made sure we were comfortable, while the welcoming host made us feel at home. I’d recommend it for a group getaway.

AJ is a warm-hearted host who makes you feel welcome and at home. The rooms and pool are very nice, and I liked the beautiful, functional architecture, which is simple too. It’s a lovely hideaway, with a German standard. I’ll come again.

The dog is absolutely adorable, very playful, and gives the place a lovely feel. It’s also kid friendly, and the villa is in a quiet area. The place has potential, but needs a bit more attention to guest comfort and the small details. The rooms didn’t seem cooled and ready when we arrived, and the TVs weren’t set up. The balcony looked a little dusty, and the room hadn’t been cleaned and arranged in the morning. Food was alright, but breakfast didn’t include coffee or tea, which felt odd to me since those seem like part of breakfast. They were extra.

My family and I had a lovely stay at AJ Villa on January 25th, 2024. The friendly, attentive staff made us feel at home, and the riverside setting was peaceful and felt like a great escape. We enjoyed the refreshing pool and absolutely delicious food. We can’t wait to come back for another relaxing getaway. Highly recommended!
