Amaluna Resorts

I've been here many times, but on my recent visit the poolside restaurant server was so rude. There were obviously no guests, and we went to relax, but he didn't greet us or smile. We sat for almost 30 minutes without a menu, so we called reception to say no one was serving us. They said they'd send someone, but the same guy came over, threw the menu at us, and said we'd have to walk to the counter to order. Even if there had been lots of guests, he could have answered politely. I was so annoyed that I walked all the way back to reception. It's a great property in an amazing spot, but there's no hospitality. If you go, be ready for this kind of treatment. There are many places near the lagoon, including smaller ones that are willing to serve you and make the visit memorable. This is why this side of srilanka is still lagging in business.

Quiet mornings, a nice view, and everything went smoothly from check-in to check-out. The food and service were great, and the stay felt completely stress-free. It was just the escape I wanted for some real “me time”.

The resort is hijab-friendly and felt safe, so we could relax and feel at ease during our stay. The surroundings are natural and peaceful, well away from busy city life. Rooms were comfortable, clean, and well maintained, with the basic amenities in place. Staff were welcoming, friendly, and always willing to help. The food was delicious, with a nice range to suit different tastes. The whole place has a calm atmosphere that works for families, couples, or a quiet solo break. I had a wonderful stay at Amalluna Resort and would recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere comfortable and relaxing.

Ananda, the manager, was the best part of our stay. We ran into a lot of trouble with our tour operator, and he personally spent a great deal of time helping resolve it. He kept in touch even after we checked out. We can't express how grateful we are for his kindness and thoughtfulness. The grounds are lovely, with the property along a lagoon, lily ponds crossed by footbridges, and a large, beautiful pool beside a poolside restaurant. Our room was clean and comfortable, with good AC and a private patio. Dinner and breakfast were the best we had while visiting the Island.
