Bohemian Hostel - Negombo

The bohemian theme was something we loved, and the place felt calm and quiet, almost like home. We stayed for two days. The rooms were clean and the staff friendly, though mosquitoes were a problem. There are plenty of meal options near the hotel, and it’s better to get food from outside. At night, going out means crossing the road to reach the car park, and you need to go with the security guard to have the gates unlocked. It was still a good place for a short stay.

This hotel was better quality than I expected. It’s quite new, and the rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful, and there’s a minibar option. Being about 7 km from the airport also makes it a nice place to spend the night before a flight. I can recommend it.

DON'T GO THERE!!! I booked a room four days ahead, called two days before to remind them, and confirmed again just a few hours before check-in. Even so, the uninterested staff called only minutes before I was due to arrive and said they’d given my room to someone else. I was left with nowhere to go. The staff were irresponsible. I strongly advise against staying here.

Bohemian Hostel in Negombo had a distinctive Bohemian feel, and the vibrant atmosphere and friendly staff made my stay memorable. The facilities were cleaner than I expected, and the communal areas were a nice place to meet other travellers. Staff were exceptionally helpful. I highly recommend it for the service and unique character.
