We loved the neighborhood, including the evening singing from the local church down the road. There are a few shops nearby, plus a fruit shop, little bakery, and very good cafe across the road for breakfast. A PickMe into town cost around 250-300 rupees, and the main road has plenty of restaurants and shops. Our week at Green Village Negombo was lovely. The manager was super friendly and helpful, and the pool was cleaned every morning by the pool man. We were in a double room in the new building, with a great terrace overlooking the pool and garden. Everything felt new and sparkling clean, and the bed was really comfortable with white linens. They don't serve food there, but breakfast was easy to find across the road.

The owner clearly cares about guests and keeps things running in a friendly, professional way. Staff were attentive and made us feel looked after, and the rooms, pool, and living area were all exceptionally clean. Green Village Negombo has a calm atmosphere and is a short walk from the beach, so it worked well for a relaxing stay away from the crowds. For the price, we had a memorable stay with good service and easy access to what we needed in Negombo. A great choice for an affordable beach vacation.

Really helpful staff and good value for what you pay. The pool was excellent. The bathroom could do with a little freshening up, but it was totally okay.

The doctor is great, and she and her staff have golden fingers for massage. Whether you want a one-off massage or an Ayurvedic course of treatment, they’re professionals. The doctor explains the consultation well, and the treatments are complete and officially high quality.
