Beach Corridor Hotel Spa

We spent two days here as a family and had a really good time. The hotel is clean and pleasant, and our room was comfortable. The pool was a good size and well looked after. For what it costs, it’s a very good deal and made a handy base for our trip. We’d gladly come back. Breakfast was included, but there were only two options. Since we stayed for both mornings, we ended up choosing the same thing each day. More variety or a rotating menu would help. We also had an uncomfortable moment at breakfast when one staff member seemed to give foreign guests noticeably more attention and better service than us. Most of the staff were lovely. The person who brought room service was especially friendly and helpful, and the manager was attentive and professional. It’s not a large or fancy hotel, but the good points outweighed the issues for us. I’d recommend it if you want a comfortable, clean stay at a fair price.

We arrived late, but the General Manager had arranged things with his team so check-in went smoothly. He and the other managers also helped sort out the issues we had. The staff were friendly, the hotel was very clean, and housekeeping was up to standard. The seafood restaurant served delicious food. Thanks to the GM and his team, I’ll definitely come back.

This was nowhere near worth the price, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The staff gave no proper response, and the service overall was awful. We had no hot water, and mosquitoes in the rooms made the hygiene seem poor. Also, despite the advertising, this is not a beachfront hotel. The beach is about 500 meters away, so that information is clearly misleading.

We stayed here on our last night in Sri Lanka before flying out. There are good places to eat nearby, and the downstairs bar staff made great drinks. Everyone was friendly. The pool was closed our first day, and its ladder was broken; the outdoor pool shower wasn’t working either. It opened on the day we checked out, and it was quite nice.
