There are better hotels nearby that are cleaner and cheaper. The room we got looked nothing like the one shown on Booking. Because it was late, we had to accept an extra bed in a tiny room, and the owner and manager wouldn’t listen to us. They charged us $25 more for it.

The proprietors were genuinely kind and welcoming. We were comfortable in the room, and it had mosquito screens on the windows. That was the only place we saw them in the country.
