8/10
The restaurant food was decent, though service slowed down at busy times. Staff were very welcoming and happy to help, and the rooms were clean and spacious, with balconies looking out to the sea. We watched the sunset from there. Paradise holiday village sits by the coast in Negombo, in an accessible spot just off the main road. The exterior looks modern. It's good value for a relaxing beachside stay near the airport, and I'd recommend it for a short visit or weekend.

For a two star place, the two rooms we had were a reasonable size, simple, clean and had A/C. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the pool area was pleasant with clean water. Breakfast was basic, but considering the price and the location near the beach and not too far from the international airport, we had no complaints.

2/10
The gardens and pool were kept up nicely, and the staff were friendly. The room, though, was dirty and the furnishings looked worn out and due for replacement. The rooms need a complete overhaul.

No hot water at all during my one-night stay, December 17-18. The bathroom was very dirty, and breakfast was small and basic.

10/10
The restaurant serves great food at reasonable prices, and the staff were great too. We got to check out at 6pm since our flight to Singapore was at midnight. There are manicured gardens and a sparkling pool. Recently refurbished and right in the center, it was worth the price for me, so five stars.
