We left even though we'd paid in advance. The pool was filthy and unusable, the rooms hadn't been cleaned, and pets were allowed to sleep inside the house, which added to the hygiene problems. The whole place seemed set up to make us uncomfortable. It was a terrible experience and felt like a complete scam. Avoid it, I don't recommend it.

We stayed longer because of the housekeeper. We called her Honey, and she's such a sweetheart, like a second mum. She shared the first Sri Lankan food I'd tried with me and taught me about it. She also helped my boyfriend with his foot pain and made me tea for my stomach. We loved her dog Rocky, too. She cares for all the dogs on the streets, and I hope her boss appreciates her as much as we did. The place itself is quiet and clean, a good deal for the money, and close to Negombo beach, shops, and restaurants.

Pavana Resort Hotel is a modernly designed place in the main Negombo beach area, a popular tourist destination on Sri Lanka's west coast. It's near the popular Jetwing Hotels, about 15 minutes from Colombo Airport and 10 minutes from central Negombo. Built in 2015, the hotel has two floors, an outdoor pool, and parking for two vehicles. It has six ensuite deluxe double rooms with AC and cable TV, plus two private apartments with living areas and seating, AC, cable TV, refrigerators, kitchens, tea and coffee makers, and ensuite bathrooms. The design aims to provide comfort and quality for everyday needs. It's an ideal place to stay in Negombo for rest and recreation.
