You can see the sea from the room, and it's really close to the beach. The room was neat and clean, with a personal locker. There’s also a shared kitchen for cooking, drinking water, coffee whenever you like, and a little mini bar where you can buy beer. It has a hostel-like, do-it-yourself feel that makes it cozy and homely. Helpful instructions are posted on the walls, and checking out is easy: just leave the room key on the entrance door and go. The young owner is friendly and full of energy, always ready to help. The lobby has bean bags, beach-style chairs, a hammock, and seating with a beach view, a nice spot to relax. A clean, peaceful, beachy stay. I hope to come again! 🌴🌊☀️

The staff were lovely, and the view was amazing. It's a great value place to stay in negombo, with the cheapest room at $ 5/5. The beds aren't the most comfortable, though at that price I wasn't expecting them to be. Thanks for the hospitality!

We met Yohan, who was unbelievably hospitable, and there’s a pleasant little shared area looking out over the beautiful beach. We stayed here on a couple of different nights. The rooms are clean and inexpensive, and I highly recommend it.

The staff are adorable, and the rooms are spacious and very clean. The terrace has a wonderful view, and the nice new bathrooms have hot water. Such a comfortable place in Negombo. I was sorry to have to check out. Go relax and enjoy!

I felt really comfortable at Sea Sands as a 23-year-old solo woman. Most guests were solo female travelers, and the vibes were great. Booking over WhatsApp was easy. Keep in mind there are no air-conditioned areas during the day, which is common in Sri Lanka, though you can pay to have AC overnight. Check before booking, since some rooms don't have units. On Saturday, loud music continued until 6am and disrupted sleep. Sunday night was more bearable. That might matter when booking, but it didn't bother me too much. I'd recommend it and stay again.
