Optimum Residencies

We booked after arriving, and it was a great call. The owners made us feel at home right away. They even did our laundry and spent time with the kids, making them feel special. The rooms were spotless, tidy, comfortable, and well looked after. The air conditioner worked perfectly. The food was fantastic too, with a breakfast buffet full of tasty choices. Our kids loved the pool slide, and we had fun on it too. It’s a lovely place for families. They arranged an interesting tour around Negombo and booked us a fish market tour as well. We were so happy with our stay that we’ll book with them again for departure day. Can’t wait to come back for more food and time on the slide. Highly recommended!

We’ve stayed here several times with our family and plan to return. It’s excellent value, with free airport transfers and plenty of shops within walking distance. The hotel is family-run, very clean, and well maintained. We especially enjoyed the two pools, including the one with a water slide for kids. Food at the restaurant and breakfast were excellent, and the warm, smiling staff do their best to meet every wish. You feel welcome here.

After we’d checked out and left Negombo, we realized our daughter had left her Kobo e-reader in the room. We called, worried, and the woman who answered was reassuring and helpful. The hotel had found it and kept it safe until we could pick it up on the last day of our Sri Lanka trip. That honesty and care meant a lot to us. Thanks to everyone at Optimum Residencies for looking after us so well. We came from New Zealand and felt relaxed and comfortable during our stay at Optimum Residencies in Negombo. The property was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with neat rooms and lovely green surroundings that felt peaceful and refreshing. We’d recommend it to anyone visiting Negombo.

The staff were very courteous. I called after 10 pm for extra water, and someone brought it to my door within two minutes. We got in around 9:30 pm, checked in quickly, and were in the room within five minutes. It was basic but clean, with two large double beds for our family of four, and we all slept peacefully and comfortably. We left early the next morning, so we didn’t try the food. There was very little furniture: no bedside tables, mirrors, cupboards, or even anywhere to hang clothes. That was fine for a single night, but might be uncomfortable if you’re planning to spend more time at the property.
