Shanith Guesthouse

Sanith Guest House made a very pleasant base for the three weeks I spent in Sri Lanka, from January 9, 2026 to January 31, 2026. It seems suitable for a short stop near the airport as well as a longer stay, with a good mix of comfort, hospitality, and value. It’s in a peaceful part of Negombo, away from the main bustle but close enough to reach the beach and local restaurants easily. The staff and management were welcoming and helpful, and their local knowledge made getting around and arranging transport easier. My room stayed clean and well maintained, which mattered during a stay of more than 20 days. The Wi-Fi was stable enough for regular use, and the common areas were a relaxed place to unwind in the evenings. The personal attention and calm setting made my extended stay enjoyable. Sanith Guest House reflects the spirit of Sri Lankan hospitality, and I’d recommend it to solo travelers, couples, or professionals looking for a friendly, dependable place in Negombo.

Shanith was such a kind host, and his villa is exceptional. The rooms were spotless, the sheets were perfect, and there was plenty of air conditioning. He made us feel very welcome in Sri Lanka and went out of his way for us. Highly recommend!

Breakfast was the highlight of our stay, with plenty of local dishes, coffee, and juice served on a big terrace. We were thrilled with the service and the owner's warm welcome. We had five rooms for the end of our 10 day trip, and the owner helped with our luggage and upgraded us to larger rooms with AC and hot water. There’s also a huge terrace where we could hang out, and the guesthouse is just steps from the beach and shops. Prego, one of the best pizza places, is right on the corner. The rooms were spacious and had TVs, even two beds, towels, soap, a fridge, cups, tea, and a water heater. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Just remember this is Sri Lanka, and appreciate the hospitality and what they can provide. Thanks again, we’ll be back!

The owner personally looked after all our needs during our stay. We found this place online for a summer holiday with the whole family and spent our first two nights here. It was clean, had everything we needed, and was within walking distance of the beach. For the price, it’s great value, and I’d recommend it to anyone.
