We left our bags here on the day of our flight home, which the owner kindly allowed. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the showers are great, and the owner is friendly and helpful. We started and ended our Sri Lanka trip at the Canoe. Highly recommend 👍🏼

For the price, I’d definitely recommend it. The room was clean and hygienic, and the nearby area has shops and transport. The service was super friendly!

Getting around was easy, with the railway station, bus station, and a supermarket right across from the hotel. The owner was very friendly and helpful, and breakfast was delicious. It’s a small place with only a few rooms, but mine was clean and well kept. The restaurant and other areas felt nicely arranged and homey, which made it a lovely stop during transit.

The Canoe made a lovely start to our two weeks travelling around Sri Lanka. It’s run by a wonderful family who clearly care about the place. Our room was beautiful and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. We had a great stay and would happily come back or recommend it to anyone travelling into Sri Lanka.
