A lovely quiet break near the airport, good for a first rest or a relaxed last stay before leaving wonderful Sri Lanka. We enjoyed the shaded garden, the cool sea breeze, and the gentle service. The local food was delicious, and Swiss cuisine is available if you want it. Fully recommend.

For anyone who prefers vintage charm and atmosphere to modern polish, Icebear is gorgeous. It has a real colonial feel, a green vintage soul, and plenty of history. It isn’t perfect and could use some touch-ups, but that’s part of its character. The place feels authentic and calm.

The garden had classical music playing, and there were a chicken, a squirrel, and a goose wandering around. The beach was amazing, the breakfast tasty, and the staff lovely. I enjoyed every minute in this place with its unique style and atmosphere. It’s not for people looking for perfection or a newly renovated hotel.

The breakfasts were delicious, and the staff were so lovely and helpful, both during our stay and while we planned the rest of our journey. It’s a great guesthouse right on the beach, surrounded by beautiful gardens.

The room had everything I wanted: a kettle and tea, AC and a fan, a mosquito net, and an open-roof shower with strong hot and cold water. The fixtures were new, the colonial furniture incredible, and the lighting and colours were lovely. It was quiet, with beautiful music and a lovely garden, and the food was good!
