The people made the stay feel warm and welcoming, almost like being with family. I also had one of the best rooms I’ve experienced, and it’s easily among the best in Negombo.

Our host was so helpful when we needed to exchange money on a Sunday, and made us feel very welcome. The room was spotless, with hot water, air conditioning, and a clean mosquito net. It’s just off the Main Street, handy for getting to the restaurants. Great value for the price, and a lovely short stay.

The peaceful setting and good facilities made it an easy, comfortable stay. Tropical Garden, Negombo was clean, safe, and well cared for, and the owner and staff were genuinely kind and helpful. It felt like a good option for locals and visitors alike. I’d happily recommend it for a relaxing visit to Negombo, and I’ll definitely come back.

The breakfast was nice, and otherwise the place was alright and clean. But after we left our bags before a flight, the two t-shirts we’d set aside to change into were gone. Also, if there are lots of mosquitoes, keep in mind the bed doesn’t have a mosquito net.

Anoj collected me from the airport at 2am for a good price, 1000rs, and also took me to the bus station when I left. My room and bathroom were clean, and the outdoor area was pleasant for sitting in the evening. Breakfast was served around the table outside, where you can chat with the other guests. A really good budget-friendly option in Negombo.
