VAAYA Beach Hotel

This place is already so peaceful that walking in after a hectic week of city work feels like an immediate change of pace. I've stayed here twice. It's right by the estuary, quiet and calm, and the rooms are very clean, with a TV, mini fridge, and hot water. The breakfast was outstanding for its variety, quality, and quantity. If you want a drink, they also make quick bites in 10-15 minutes. We had the Noodles for dinner and highly recommend them. There's fishing too, and lots of fish here, just make sure to bring the right bait. The people were friendly and helpful, especially Isuru, who was so supportive throughout our stay. The room price was very reasonable, the place felt safe, and the location was great. I'll definitely visit again.

We had a day out here and honestly, it was great. The place is quiet and not crowded, with a lovely view of both the lake and the sea. It's a long drive from colombo, but the location was great, and we were very pleased with the nice staff and customer service. Everything was fine except the pool, which wasn't in good condition and needs better hygiene.

The rooms and bathrooms were clean, and breakfast was good. From the property you get a nice view where the sea and river meet, but don't swim in the river. If you really want to swim, Vaaya has a small pool. The exterior wasn't well maintained, so my first impression wasn't great. It's an average place to stay, and the price is a little high, but overall it was okay.

The river side of the hotel has a beautiful view, and the pool is good. The food was very good too, especially the authentic Negembo pork curries and stews. It's a nice little hotel in the Negembo beach area. The owners have put care into designing the rooms, which were very clean. There are five rooms, including one triple room, so it works well for a big family wanting to stay together and enjoy a day outing. For foreign travellers, the cleanliness is up to the standard of many hotels in Colombo, making it a really good place to stay.
