Anukama Resort

We appreciated how the staff helped when one of our vehicle keys got locked inside the car. They went out of their way for us. Food was very good, and the fresh home-grown fruits were a treat. The big pool was another highlight, though there were mosquitoes around, so it's better to ask for a mosquito vaporizer in advance. We stayed for 2 days at Anukama Resort and booked 5 chalets. They were all clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the team were welcoming, friendly, and supportive from arrival. The price felt very affordable for the space, cleanliness, and experience. During heavy thunder, the fuse went off in two chalets, a small inconvenience. TVs in the chalets would also be a nice addition. Otherwise, everything was well managed. The resort is close to Nilaveli Beach. One tip for the drive: Google Maps can give wrong turns or lose GPS signal, so keep an eye on road signs too. This review is a bit overdue, but our experience last month was worth sharing. I'd definitely recommend Anukama Resort to anyone visiting Trincomalee and would happily go again.

The staff made the stay special, with everyone friendly, smiling, and genuinely ready to help. Their warm hospitality alone would bring us back. We were there for two nights; the rooms were good, though quite basic. We booked half board, and breakfast and dinner had the same à la carte selections on both days, so it would be nice to have the menu changed or rotated. Still, when we asked for pittu and curries on the second night, even though they weren't listed, the chef and staff went out of their way to arrange them. The food was absolutely delicious, 10/10. A pleasant stay thanks to the wonderful team.

The food and drinks were delicious, fresh, and full of local flavour, so dining felt like a treat every day. Nilaveli beach is only a short distance away, convenient for a morning swim or sunset walk. Anukama was peaceful, clean, and beautifully maintained, with excellent safety standards that helped me feel comfortable throughout. The team kept everything well taken care of and were warm, welcoming, and attentive from the moment I arrived. Great hospitality and a calm atmosphere. I'd happily return and recommend it to anyone visiting Nilaveli.

Special thanks to Manager Jena, who was so kind and helpful. He arranged a boat trip for whale watching and snorkelling, and the boat team worked hard and were genuine in trying to help us spot whales and dolphins. It was unforgettable! We also enjoyed taking a tuk-tuk around the area. We stayed in cozy cabanas and found the whole visit relaxing and comfortable, with great memories to take home. The beach was just a 2-3 minute walk away, and the resort grounds had a lovely garden that made the setting feel peaceful and natural. Our rooms were clean and comfortable, and the food and drinks were delicious. The all-inclusive package saved time and made things convenient, as we didn't have to think about meals or drinks. There were fun games around the resort, and the pool was available anytime, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. We had a wonderful time and would recommend this resort to anyone visiting Nilaveli. We'd love to come back!
