The room and bathroom were spotless and well cared for, and breakfast was a lovely start to the day. We spent one night at the Blue Moon Hotel in Nuwara Eliya and felt very comfortable. Our host was warm, thoughtful, and attentive throughout. I’d happily recommend it for a short visit.

The location made it easy to walk to shops, markets, and restaurants. Staff were welcoming and helpful, and the hotel was clean. The modern bathroom had the hottest, best shower I had in Srilanka. For the price, the hotel and breakfast were both better than I expected.

The host went out of his way to help us, even arranging a motorbike and letting us leave our bags after checkout. He also offered us a washroom before we left. We found the room clean and affordable, with cozy beds and hot water for showers. It’s an easy walk to the bus stand and downtown, and free parking is available. I booked around 9 PM, after normal check-in, but when we arrived at 4 AM he answered immediately and welcomed us without delay. He was friendly and ready to help with anything. A wonderful place in Nuwara Eliya.

We’d paid in advance and had a reservation, but when we got there we found that all the rooms had been given to a larger group and ours hadn’t been set aside. They quickly found us a room at another one of their nearby guest houses for the same price, which we appreciated. Still, we were travelling as a family, and the mix-up could have ruined the trip. The reviews and photos had looked really good.
