Cottage 42 Boutique-hotel

I wish we’d had more time here. We stayed two nights and really enjoyed it: the room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, they provided shower gel and shampoo, and the location was excellent.

We found a room here on a busy day, close to town. It was nice, and the service was excellent. The view from the location wasn't the best, but that was a small drawback. Comfortable and convenient, and I'd definitely recommend it.

The family suite worked especially well for us. My wife, our two daughters, and I came to Nuwara Eliya, and the girls loved the cozy attic sleeping space so much they sometimes didn't want to leave the room. It was freezing during our visit, but the suite had plenty of heating and felt very comfortable. The rooms were super comfy, had all amenities, and felt like home, with full security 24/7. Mr.Manoj & Mr.Saman made our stay wonderful, and the staff did everything to make it memorable. The food was awesome too. This cottage sits right in the middle of Nuwara Eliya town, so the important locations are easy to visit. From check in to check out, it was an amazing stay. Great for solo, couples, or family travel. Highly recommend, probably the BEST in Nuwara Eliya 👌

The location was really good, close to the town centre and attractions you can walk to. They also had filtered water in reusable bottles in the rooms to cut down on plastic. But the room was much shabbier and more run down than the pictures suggested, and wasn't worth what we paid. The bathroom was dirty, with buildup in the shower. The door hinge was broken, so you had to lift it to close it, and it made a lot of noise. The whole room needed a deep clean and a lot of small repairs. There was no blind on the glass-panel door, and the blinds on the other windows were so thin that light came straight in.
