The price is very reasonable, and breakfast is included, so it’s really good value. Our room was clean, with bottled water and other useful amenities. It was quiet and peaceful, yet just a few minutes from the center. The family running the place welcomed us so warmly that we felt completely at home, and communication was easy since they speak good English. We don’t understand why the hotel only has a 4.1 rating. Some negative reviews seem to expect 4-5 star facilities at a budget price, which just isn’t fair. We’d absolutely recommend staying here in Nuwara Eliya. In our opinion, the relatively low rating is undeserved, so don’t let it put you off.

Breakfast was easily my favorite part of the stay. I found Sri Lankan food hard to get used to, but this was the best meal I had in Sri Lanka. I still remember the garlic toast, coconut roti, and warm tea. The tea here is especially good. The room was quiet and clean, with a thick duvet. You can walk to the bus terminal and post office in 10 minutes. It’s a little uphill, but that didn’t really bother me. My only complaints are about the bathroom and WiFi. Hot water came and went, so I could have about 30 seconds of a hot shower, then had to endure two minutes of cold water. Showering felt like interval training. The toilet was almost a nightmare because the tank was faulty and had no flushing power. There’s no WiFi, but I used my mobile data and it was fine.

The peaceful atmosphere made this a great place to relax after our trip activities. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and we felt right at home. The amenities were maintained well and everything matched the description. We enjoyed the stay and would happily come back. Highly recommend!

The breakfast was so delicious that we forgot to take a picture before eating, and only managed to snap this one while we were having it. Absolutely beautiful breakfast 🥰 We were greeted with tea when we arrived, such a thoughtful touch. The room and house were lovely and super clean, with a good desk and chair for remote work. The best dal curry we’ve ever had was here. We tried it all over Sri Lanka almost every day, but this was the best one 🥰 The owners have amazing smiles and are genuinely kind. They helped with anything we needed, and their hospitality surprised us. We felt so happy to meet such lovely people while travelling 🥰 Thank you so much 😍 We’ve travelled a lot, but this was the best homestay we’ve stayed at in our 2 years of travel ☺️💞

Sindhu and her family gave us lovely service, and Sindhu was a fantastic host with great suggestions for things to do as tourists. We also really enjoyed the local Sri Lankan breakfast.
