Hill Rise Luxury Villa & Stables by Edwards Collection Villa

A tour of the owner’s stables at the Royal Turf Club was a highlight. We met S.D. Mahesh and his magnificent horses, a rare experience that showed the gracious hospitality of Hill Rise. The place has refined horse-themed décor and a lovely character, and its location near the Royal Turf Club comes with a breathtaking view across Lake Gregory. The living area looks out onto a peaceful scene. The bedrooms were very comfortable, and we slept deeply in the cool Nuwara Eliya air. The Hill Rise team welcomed us warmly with tea and freshly baked ginger cookies. Every meal was full of flavour, beautifully presented, and served in generous portions. Our stay was unforgettable, with plenty of warmth, comfort, and old-world charm.

We spent our honeymoon at this beautiful bungalow in Nuwara Eliya, and waking up to the peaceful lake and greenery was a wonderful part of it. It sits right in front of Gregory Lake and has panoramic views that made the setting feel especially romantic. The interior was stunning, elegantly designed, and comfortable, with each room tastefully decorated and cozy while still feeling luxurious. The service was impeccable from the start. Mr. Kumar, the manager, Dennis, our waiter, and the rest of the staff were warm and attentive, going beyond what we expected. Every detail helped make the stay special. We wholeheartedly recommend the bungalow for a getaway and are already looking forward to returning.

We loved exploring Nuwara Eliya’s charming surroundings, and the bungalow’s elegant interiors and beautiful views of Gregory Lake made it a romantic place to stay. We spent our honeymoon here, and the service from Mr. Kumar and Dennis exceeded our expectations. Every meal was a delight, served with great care. It was also my birthday, and the manager, Mr. Kumar, found out and surprised us with a cake from grand hotel. I really appreciated how much care they take to make sure their guests are happy. We left with unforgettable memories and hope to return. Highly recommended for a romantic getaway with stunning views and attentive service.

We reached the luxury villa by seaplane from Colombo to Nuwara Eliya. The place was lovely and clean, and well maintained to a high standard. The staff were very welcoming, and it was a great spot to spend time with family, with a lovely view of lake Gregory. The Dulex grand suite had modern British facilities, with a shower and hot tub 🛁 separately. The bed was an excellent size, and there was plenty of lighting. The lounge was decorated with lots of 🏆. An in-house chef prepares meals when guests request them. The suite also had strong Wi-Fi and a large TV.
