Milano Inn

We ordered the Milano Special plate for Rs. 3,300, and it was absolutely worth it for two people. The portion was generous, with lots of meat and seafood: chicken, beef, prawns, cuttlefish, crabs, sausages and eggs. Everything was tasty, well seasoned and cooked just right, and the flavors worked really well together. It's a satisfying meal and good value for money if you're visiting Nuwara Eliya. I'd recommend giving it a try at Milano – Nuwara Eliya. I recently visited, and it was an amazing experience!

The portions were generous enough for four of us to share one rice dish. We tried chicken fried rice, seafood fried rice, the chef's special rice, fish bun, chef's special whole chicken with garlic sauce, chicken samosa, egg bun, and mushroom egg soup. Most of the rice dishes were tasty, and the garlic chicken was good too. The samosa was very good, while the fish bun had a bit of a kick. I didn't care for the egg bun, and I wouldn't recommend the soup. They serve halal food, and the staff are friendly.

The place was clean and had a nice atmosphere, and the staff were polite. Service was decent, but the food let us down. It tasted average for the price, and I expected better quality. I hope they raise their food standards.

The younger staff were kind and polite, so I don't mean to blame everyone. What disappointed my family on yesterday's visit to Milano restaurant was one older staff member's manner. We usually enjoy the food and service there, but after we ordered chicken fried rice, he remarked that chicken isn't healthy. About ten minutes later, he came back and said the chicken fried rice is usually very dry. There weren't any forks or spoons on our table either, and the service felt below the usual standard. I hope customers are made to feel more welcome in future.
