We ended up finding another room after arguing for a solution and waiting around for a long time. We’d booked and paid an advance two days earlier, but when we arrived early on a cold morning, the owner said the room was still occupied. He then went back to sleep while we were left outside with our luggage. When he returned, all he said was, “What can I do? They haven’t vacated yet,” as though the problem were ours. It was a frustrating, inconsiderate, and unprofessional experience. I strongly suggest staying elsewhere and saving yourself the stress.

We paid ahead, but still had to wait outside in the cold for nearly two hours because the room wasn’t available. In the end, we left and found somewhere else to stay. The way management handled it was completely unprofessional and got our vacation off to a terrible start. This was one of the worst experiences of my trip to Nuwara Eliya. I’d avoid the place if you want a pleasant, hassle-free stay.

The service felt sincere and heartfelt. The staff were warm and attentive, made me feel welcome, and took care with every request.

Avoid this place if you care about your time, money, and peace of mind.
