We spent two nights at Royal Bungalow, Nuwara Eliya, with family and had an excellent stay. It was clean and comfortable, a great fit for a family retreat. The cook made delicious meals from the ingredients we provided, and we also had a memorable BBQ dinner. There's hot water, a fully equipped kitchen if you'd rather cook yourselves, and safe, spacious parking for around six cars. All at a very reasonable price. Highly recommend it for a relaxing stay in Nuwara Eliya.

About 5 km from Nuwara Eliya town, on the road to Ambewela / Pattipola, this bungalow works well for groups. It has seven triple rooms, some with three single beds and others with a double and a single, so it can host 21 or more people. Each room has a flat-screen TV with local channels, and the bathrooms have running hot water with good pressure. The bungalow isn't new, and we noticed a few areas that could use maintenance, but we still enjoyed our stay and would recommend it. For meals, you can bring dry rations for the caretaker to cook, or prepare food yourself. There are a few bakeries nearby, but you'll need to go into Nuwara Eliya town for more choices. A small portable BBQ grill is available if you bring charcoal. Sunil, the friendly caretaker, was always ready to help with a smile. During our two-night stay, he cooked meals to our choices, and his service was excellent overall.

The rooms were quite okay, and the location is about 10 minutes from the centre. But the older man provided poor service, the internet was poor, and there was no water or towel.
