Park View Guest House

The owner was friendly, and there’s a nice garden, though it was wet while we were there so we didn’t use it. Getting in means climbing steep stairs from the road. The room needs redecorating, and the bathroom smelled damp. It was just clean enough, but not everywhere. The front rooms look out over the park below. There was only one plug with an adaptor, which made charging difficult. The WiFi was very slow.

We were four people sharing both rooms, and they were dirty and full of mildew. The furniture was old, the mattresses were very uncomfortable, and the rooms were in really bad condition. The air smelled bad, the blankets and towels felt clammy, and the windows were locked and couldn’t be opened. The owner wasn’t helpful with tours and couldn’t answer our questions about laundry service or scooter rental in town. He even gave us the wrong train times for our trip to ella.

Very bad. We couldn’t use WiFi in the first floor room. They told me the second floor room was better, but someone was staying there, so we could only change on the second day. Then I found there was no bathroom in that room, and we couldn’t switch back to the original one. They said there were no other rooms because of Christmas. The second floor room was even worse, with no WiFi and no bathroom.

The food was good, and the place is nice and close to town. The only issue was the damp beds, since there were no room heaters. It’d be great if they could add some.
