There’s absolutely nothing around this place, and with no guards at night we felt really uneasy, even though there were two of us. It’s not in Pasikudah, it’s out in the middle of nowhere, so you’re completely reliant on the people there. The cook does an amazing job and really is the heart of the place, but I still didn’t feel it was safe to stay, especially for someone travelling alone. Never again.

The beach is lovely, though it wasn’t clean. The hotel’s very remote location means the owner charges quite high prices. There’s a lot of potential here, and we had some lively conversations with the staff and shared ideas for improvements. Wishing them all the best for the future.
