We were four people in one room with three beds, and it worked out great. The room, bathroom, kitchen, and surroundings were clean, and the service was good. The price was reasonable too. jegath uncle is a kind person with a helpful nature, and his clean rest house is in a nice setting.

It’s quiet at night, yet still within walking distance of the center of Polonnnaruwa. Jagath and his wife were so welcoming, and we could use the fridge and the community kitchen for breakfast. We even got a free coffee when we left. The room had a fan and AC, which you’ll need in March, and the WIFI was good. There’s car parking too. Highly recommended, we’d come back.

The owner was so friendly and went out of his way to make our visit enjoyable. Our room was clean and really comfortable. I’d definitely recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Polonnaruwa.

The host was friendly and always ready to help, and otherwise we had a good stay. But be careful if you’re bringing kids. There’s an open stairwell window with a 6-foot drop that could be a serious danger. The bathrooms are cramped, and there was dust and cobwebs in some tucked-away spots the kids often went to.
