Thuruliya Hotel

There are walking routes nearby, and the hotel is close to waterfalls and tea factories. It was right on our route, so the location worked perfectly for us. We were warmly welcomed, and the staff were kind and attentive. We had dinner at the hotel and really enjoyed it. Breakfast was fresh, delicious, and very filling. The room and bathroom were very clean and had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable, and I slept very well. There was no air conditioning, just a ceiling fan, but we didn’t use it because the weather was already quite cool. Our full glass balcony looked out over a stunning, lush green valley. If it’s on your way, I definitely recommend it. It does a great job as both a restaurant and a hotel. Thanks for the great service.

A lovely place to stop for coffee or a meal, with waterfalls and beautiful scenery all around. The staff are really nice too.

The food was delicious, and the meals felt well worth the money. The room was clean, spacious, and well kept, while the washrooms and other facilities were up to a very good standard. We had a comfortable, relaxing stay at Thuruliya Hotel Ramboda. Miss Pashidi at reception and Mr. Thilan, the steward, deserve special appreciation. Their hospitality and attention to detail were next-level and made the stay even more enjoyable. I’m extremely happy with the service and facilities for this price. Highly recommended.

We loved getting out to climb and explore the nearby waterfalls. The short hikes were rewarding, with a closer look at the natural beauty Ramboda is known for. The location made it easy to explore, and it felt like a great place for couples who want romance, downtime, and a little adventure. The meals were another highlight. We had breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the restaurant, enjoying fresh, flavorful food with generous portions and plenty of variety. Both local dishes and international options were well prepared, and eating with those valley views made each meal feel special. Thuruliya Hotel was a highlight of our Sri Lanka hill country trip. From our room, we could see lush valleys, misty mountains, and cascading waterfalls in every direction. Waking up to the emerald landscape and distant falls each morning was magical. The hotel felt like a luxurious but cozy escape, with comfortable rooms that fit the peaceful setting. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely hospitable. They made us feel welcome, offered personalized recommendations, and kept checking that everything was right. We can’t recommend the hotel highly enough.
