The infinity pool looking out toward Sigiriya was a highlight, and our daughter had a great time in the baby pool and doing the pottery activity. The buffet offered lots of tasty international options, and the staff were friendly and helpful all through our stay. We also enjoyed the hotel’s natural and cultural museums and the visit to its paper recycling factory. Having tea in the evening with views of Sigiriya and Pidurangala Rock was breathtaking. Our suite was spacious and nicely designed, and the setting felt peaceful, with birds and peacocks around. This was one of our best hotel stays in Sri Lanka. I’d recommend it to families or anyone after a relaxing, memorable break.

What stood out most was how welcome the whole team made us feel. The front office manager was especially warm and gentle, though I’m sorry I can’t remember her name. Rohan, the floor manager, was kind, attentive, and always checking that we were comfortable. The housekeeping and gardening staff, chefs, and banquet team were all wonderful too. The head Chef and Tharanga from the banquet team gave us exceptional service. I was struck by how the front office and floor teams pitched in to help with meal service, which I haven’t seen at other hotels. The Vesak celebrations, including the lovely Bhakthi Gee programme, made our stay feel special. Our room was clean and well appointed. The international buffet and bakery selection were excellent, though I think the local buffet could be better. I’ve stayed at many hotels over the years, but rarely felt this cared for. This was our first visit, and I’d like to come back and see more of what the resort offers.

The buffet was a real highlight, with plenty of dishes at breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the food quality stayed high throughout. The price was a bit higher than we remembered from our last visit, but we felt it was worth it. This was our second time at Aliya Resort & Spa since 2019, and we came with our family. The rooms were spacious, clean, comfortable, and well looked after, while the whole property felt peaceful and beautifully maintained. Great meals, good service, and a calm, family-friendly atmosphere made it a memorable stay. We’d happily recommend Aliya Resort & Spa to anyone visiting the Dambulla area, and hope to return.

The pool area was amazing, and the food was great, with top-notch service from the staff. The welcome from the Front Office team set a warm, professional tone as soon as we arrived. Rohan from the Front office deserves a shout-out for making our stay memorable. Great location too. We’ll definitely return.

The wooden cabins were comfortable, the pool was amazing, and we all enjoyed the tasty food. The restaurant staff kept checking that we were doing well. We came as a family with three children, and everyone had a great time. What made it for us was the people. From the doormen to the cleaners, reception, and restaurant staff, everyone was pleasant, respectful, smiling, and courteous throughout. Good service matters even when a place is beautiful, and this team understood that. Thank you for your hospitality.
