Eighth Wonder Resort

The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious with more than enough to eat. We stayed for 2 nights and had a really good time. It's a nice place to stay, with a pool and a location near to sigiriya. If you're very, very lucky, you might even spot elephants on the grounds.

When we booked this tree house a few months ago, both the water and electricity were cut off. It was inconvenient for us, and I hope other guests don't have the same experience.

We were really close to the rock and had such a lovely time with the cooker and his wife. We all cooked dinner together, and the food was delicious. They're very kind and enjoy sharing their culture. Thank you so much.

We liked our stay so much that we added 2 more days. The host and his colleagues were the best part: I've never met staff so friendly and accommodating. We had long chats with the host, picked up lots of tips, and learned a lot about Sigirya. On our last evening they even invited us to a traditional cooking lesson and dinner. The resort has fantastic tree houses, a large pool that was cleaned daily, and a huge area bordering directly on the jungle. From the balcony we saw peacocks, lots of monkeys, and once an elephant walking through the resort. 🐘🐒🦚 There's a supermarket and scooter rental within walking distance, and it's in an outstanding location. The accommodation had been renovated over several years and had only recently reopened. We won't forget the great moments we had here. We'd come back again and again.
