The room was filthy, with insects everywhere, and the mosquito net had so many holes it was useless. The Wi-Fi didn’t work because the lady said she hadn’t paid for it. Plugging in my phone charger even tripped the electricity. During the night, loud bangs terrified us, someone sang religious songs from midnight until 5 a.m., and dogs howled in a way I’d never heard before. In the morning, when we mentioned the noise, she said other guests hadn’t complained but didn’t explain what it was. Other reviews said the bangs were probably mangoes falling onto the roof of the tree house next door. A warning would have helped, instead of her continually pushing us to book tours. We were told not to go outside in the evening because of wild elephants, and there was nothing around the area. We were extremely scared, didn’t sleep at all, and couldn’t go anywhere. We left first thing in the morning, a day early. The lady didn’t seem surprised. When we said how frightened and unhappy we were, she replied that other guests were satisfied and that we shouldn’t write a bad review. I’m writing this so no one else has to go through what we did. The thought of staying here alone is honestly terrifying. I would have lost my mind from fear. My mom and I travel around the world with just our backpacks and stay in low-budget hotels, but this was by far our worst experience. We were charged too much for a tuk-tuk from the train station, which we only realized afterward. The hotel listing also gives a different address from its actual location. At check-in, the lady claimed we’d canceled our reservation and that she now had to pay a high fee because of us. That simply wasn’t true, and I don’t know what she expected to get from saying it. PLEASE, AVOID THIS PLACE.

The treehouse had AC, which was nice at this price. But there was a wasp nest right outside the door, so we couldn’t really enjoy the balcony. The host gave me a weird vibe, and there was no Wi-Fi. She said she’d call to add money to it, but didn’t do that during our 3 days there. The sheets were stained and the place wasn’t very clean. Breakfast was much smaller than the pictures from previous guests. There were lots of bugs, though it is a treehouse. After a shower, water pooled in the washroom because the floor wasn’t sloped toward the drain, so we had to ask for a squeegee.

The host was so nice and took care of everything, and the lady offered us tea or coffee. Breakfast was delicious too. We had an amazing stay in the tree house for two nights. It had AC and was perfect. Highly recommend!

I can’t recommend it. The route into the guest house is full of rocks and concrete waste, making it difficult to get in. They don’t seem to care about the condition of the way guests have to use.

The owner was very helpful and ready to assist with our sightseeing plans, and breakfast was superb. The tree house was basic by definition, with no Wi-Fi, TV, or fridge, but we didn’t mind that. The shower area didn’t slope properly toward the drain, so we had to keep using a wiper to move the water. Cleanliness could have been better, and having a couple of glasses of water in the room and towels would have made the stay more comfortable. It’s only a 10-15 minute walk from the rock fortress and sits between two commercial hubs with the food, drinks, shopping, money exchange, and massage spas tourists may need.
