The hosts made us feel right at home and helped with local advice, transport, and safari tours. We also loved the homemade food, full of local flavour and served with care. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the prices reasonable. It’s a peaceful spot close to Sigiriya Rock Fortress, surrounded by nature while still giving you a sense of local life. I had a great stay and recommend it as a base for solo travellers, couples, or families exploring Sigiriya and nearby sights. I’m happy to hear Sigiriya Sweet Home Guest House has reopened and is welcoming guests again. All the best to the Sweet Home team, and I hope many more travellers enjoy your hospitality.

We had two wonderful Sri Lankan dinners here, including one shared with the family where we ate the traditional way, with our hands. It was amazing. The place has parking, nice breakfast, a clean room with a fan and good AC, and very nice prices. We could sit on the balcony at the end of the day and watch life go by. If you want a safe, comfortable weekend with a local family who’ll support you, this is the place. Highly recommend, 10/10!

They don't seem to know how to treat guests. There was dust and even cobwebs on the teapot, and the plates and cups from breakfast hadn't been washed. The washroom had no water. On the night we stayed, they didn't give us drinking water even after we asked.
