The neighborhood is extremely quiet, and the villa itself is a luxury place, thoughtfully designed and equipped. I also liked the short, three-minute walk to Nawala Jn, where there are eateries and a Food City. The staff are enterprising, cool dudes. Everything I saw and experienced at this gem was satisfying and pleasing. I really liked the villa.

This really is a hidden gem, with a tranquil neighborhood and pleasant staff. The room and bathroom were also finished to a high standard, as you'd expect at this price. A couple of things could be improved: the coffee barely tasted like coffee, even though Hansa Coffee is readily available in Sri Lanka, and the juices should be fresh instead of reconstituted cordial. I could hardly make out the TV, so I gave up on it. Dialog TV might be a better choice, since it’s tried and tested. I hope to come back.

My mother had to get to Sri Lanka at short notice for a family emergency, so we had just 72 hours to arrange her visa, COVID tests, flight, and accommodation. The team at D Villas helped her through getting the electronic travel authority (ETA), compulsory COVID PCR test, and insurance. They replied quickly in good English and worked around the clock, and arranged a driver to meet her at the airport. My mother found the stay extremely comfortable and was delighted with the food, accommodation, and hospitality. A few days later, I booked a stay for a family friend, who had a very similar experience. I highly recommend D Villas, and am grateful to the staff for all the help and support they gave our family.

I was very disappointed after booking this hotel. I don't recommend it for quarantine, since they charge more than required and don't provide food to match what they charged. They also have rules I found unacceptable.
