The beach house is a quiet, clean little deck on a nearby stretch of beach, and it’s well worth spending a few hours there. The team were warm every morning and shared plenty of local tips. Sammy and Malan even helped arrange collection of a bag we’d left behind after checkout. We stayed four nights at JH Villa at the start of our south coast trip. We arrived very early, just as the sun was coming up, and check-in was seamless after the long journey. The intimate, peaceful villa is beautifully maintained, and I can’t recommend it enough. Our spacious room felt private and luxurious, with a large bathroom, double sinks, a separate shower, and an incredible bathtub. The private terrace had a TV screen and iPad music controls, which made it feel like our own mini villa. The pool was in great condition, and the lush jungle around it was full of monkeys and tropical birds. Lovely water too, and a perfect setting for a few laps. The gym was a nice extra, though its AC wasn’t working. You’d need to be committed to exercising in the heat or go very early. The team did try to fix it when we asked. Breakfast each day included fresh fruit and a choice of dishes from the menu. On our first day, Sammy kindly made us hoppers that weren’t on the menu, a lovely surprise. We didn’t try the hotel’s other dining options because we were out exploring restaurants recommended by the team, and enjoyed several of them. The hotel may be on the pricier side for the area. It’s quite simple, with small touches that give it a luxurious feel rather than anything flashy, and lets the surrounding nature speak for itself. I’d return, especially if I wanted to relax straight away. Thanks for your hospitality.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are cooked fresh to order, with a wide selection from around the world as well as Sri Lankan curry. The setting is quiet and tranquil, with lovely surroundings and very friendly, attentive, discreet staff. The spacious, luxurious accommodation is 4 minutes from the seafront in (Galle). It has a separate bedroom and lounge, a bath and separate shower, plus an outside terrace with a TV and dining area. The bed linen is ridiculously good quality, and there are mosquito nets. There’s discreet 24 Hours on premises security and CCTV. Worth every penny, and you get more than you pay for.

My friend and I stayed here in March 2025 and loved the whole visit. The accommodation was beautiful, and the grounds, including the pool area, looked stunning. We also went to the nearby beach house and swam in the sea. The food was so delicious that we ate there every night. The staff were all wonderful. I highly recommend JH Villa and would happily stay again.

The garden was beautifully manicured, and the private beach house was lovely. My husband and I had amazing food and very attentive service during our unforgettable stay at JH Villa. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. We also loved the private movie veranda and the iPads on the walls, which let us connect to the private music system.

We spent 3 nigths at the JH villa and only wished we could’ve stayed longer. The team and manager made the visit wonderful, always friendly and ready to help. The rooms were very clean, with ipads and speakers for music and light controls. There are activities like archery, badminton, and pool. The beach house has a private beach for swimming, sunbathing, and eating. Thanks for a lovely stay!
